Between 4, Sterling Sharp voted for Pro Football Hall of Fame and will join Bhai Shannon as the first brothers.

New Orleans – Antonio Gates, Jered Elon, Eric Alan and Sterling Sharp were voted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the smallest induction class in 20 years, which is difficult to include after the offsen rules changes.

Sharp entered NFL Honors as a senior candidate for voting on Thursday night and would join younger brother Shannon, as the first brothers were included in the hall. Two -time super bowl MVP Elli Manning decreased and this year Ohio’s elder brother will not join Peethan.

The induction ceremony will be held on 2 August.

While the small class is a change from the previous years when each of the last 12 sections included at least seven people, it is not unprecedented.

There were only four indicators in the 2005 class and 18 other years with three or four motivators since the first grade of 17 in 1963.

New rules were established this year after a push by the hall of fames to make the hall more exclusive and it went straight to the small class. Modern ERA candidates were voted from 15 to seven in the final phase instead of five in the last years.

49 voters then got to vote for five out of seven, out of which anyone reached 80% or was entering the hall in the top three. In the previous years, the five finalists all received an up-or-down vote with all the five for the last 17 years.

Candidates of senior, coaches and contributing categories were then placed in a group in which voters had three to choose. Candidates also required 80% support with top finishers, even if it decreases.
