Honeywell, one of the last remaining American industrial groups, will be divided into three independent companies, following the footsteps of manufacturing giants such as General Electric and Alcoa.

The North Carolina Company said on Thursday that it would divide its automation and aerospace technologies businesses.

There will now be three publicly listed companies, including the first announced plan to close their advanced material business.

Honeywell President and CEO Vimal Kapoor said in a statement, “Three independent, industry-comprehensive companies have been formed on the powerful foundation created by us, which to carry forward the development strategies created by each, and shareholders and shareholders and Unlocks the important value for customers. ”

The separation is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026.

The stocks fell over 4% before the market opened on Thursday.
