People are hawying the ticket-loaded phones for thousands of people on eBay, Facebook

People are listing the phone preloaded with Tikok for thousands of dollars on eBay, Facebook marketplace and other online storefronts – although it is not clear whether there are many buyers at those prices.

The ticket was unavailable to American users in the weekend weekend, but whoever had downloaded before Sunday is capable of using it. But the app is still not available for download on Apple and Google’s app store, so whoever thought to get Tiktok before Sunday, is out of luck.

As a result, some entrepreneurial souls are selling phones and tablets that have tickek – and its original company by other apps, such as Lemon 8 and Video Editor Capkat. On eBay, Friday can be found for a listing for $ 50,000 (or low as $ 340). Although it is not clear how many such phones have been sold, people selling for hundreds have received the most bids.

A seller, Nicholas Mathews, who lives in New York, said he decided to sell the phone when he saw Tiktok was in high demand. He listed an iPhone 14 Plus with Tikokok for $ 10,000. Till Friday, Mathews said that his highest bid was for $ 4,550.

“I am just hoping to sell this one phone,” he said.

Tikok has about 170 million users in the US. The restrictions do not target individual users, which were technically free to use it until they could.

EBay did not immediately respond to a message to comment on the listing on Friday.

Earlier this week, President Donald Trump directed his justice department to stop the enforcement of the ban by the beginning of April. But the host of questions remains-it also includes whether Trump has the right to issue such an order and if the Chinese-based parents of Tikokkok would be responsible for selling the popular social media platforms.
