The first military flight to send migrants to Guantanamo Bay is ready to depart, officials say

Washington – The first US military flight to deport the migrants from the United States of Guantanamo Bay was scheduled to depart on Tuesday, said an American official. This is the first step in the hope of an increase in the number of migrants held at the Navy base in Cuba, which was used to detain foreigners, mainly from September 11, 2001, for decades.

President Donald Trump has seen this facility as a holding center and said that it has the ability to keep as 30,000.

Defense Secretary PT Hegaseth, who was assigned to Guantanamo Bay, when he was on active duty, called it a “right place” to the house migrants. Additional American soldiers have reached the facility to help prepare it in the last few days.

Amy Fisher, director of the refugee and migrant rights program at Amnesty International USA, reduced the use of Guantanamo to give homes to the migrants.

“Sending immigrants to Gwantanamo is a deep cruel, expensive step. This will cut people with lawyers, family and support systems, throwing them into a black hole so that the US government can continue to violate its human rights. Shut Gitmo now and forever! “Fisher said in a statement.

In addition, the US returned to India to Indian migrants on Monday, and the flight was still going on till Tuesday afternoon, the US official said. The officer spoke on the condition of anonymity not to print the names to provide details not yet publicized.

The first had seven exile flights to Ecuador, Guam, Honduras and Peru. In addition, Colombian authorities flew to the US and took two flights of migrants to their country.

Gwantanamo Bay has about 300 service members supporting holding operations, and will be numbered up to numbers based on the requirements of the Homeland Security Department, which is the major federal agency.

According to the Pew Research Center, the third, without any authority of any country after Mexico and Al Salvador, is more than 725,000 immigrants from India living in India.

In recent years also, there has been a jump in the number of Indians who attempted to enter the country with the US-Canada border. The US border petrol arrested more than 14,000 Indians on the Canadian border in the year ending September 30, which was 60% of all arrests along the border and more than 10 times the amount of 10 times two years ago.

CNN was the first time to report on flights.
